SPIRITUALITY AND NATURE

“It is only when we recognize that all that we do is spiritual, that we can let our Spirituality inform our humanity.” Anonymous quote

When we fully open to experience our own Spiritual Nature we find our Original Nature which leads to opportunities of loving and learning in an open and creative environment. Seeing into our own Original Nature is an insight derived from living in the heart of one’s reality with mindfulness. This sense of Spirit dwells in the Sanctuary of our Soul from which we may draw on inspiration to find compassion from which we may spread the beauty and warmth of gratitude and love to whomever we meet in life.

Moonlight and Cedar Trees
By Ed Kaler © 1987

Sitting on a knoll, overlooking a misty valley bathed in cool breezes and moonbeams, one can feel the void in everything. Boiling tea and listening to the singing kettle, one can understand the principles of yin and yang by watching the fire inside the stove. Gazing after the flight of birds and the wisps of clouds in the sky while standing on a craggy slope in the shade of an oak tree looking to nature's rhythms and patterns allows for an effortless perception of wu-wei. Walking along a running brook in a sunlit mountain, one can observe the mysteries of the Tao in every moment. In Taoist teachings the way to remember the void is reflected in the radiating, spiral, and circular patterns of the natural world, the unceasing but recurring movements of change, the quickening and quiescence of all life, and in the curtains of mist and expanses of white cloud.

Living in harmony and balance with the earth and her environs is the basis of all ecology movements such as Green Peace, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the Nature Conservancy, the Sierra Club, etc. Their philosophies are rooted in a very deep appreciation of natural beauty, loving kindness, and an understanding that humankind needs to relate in a positive way with our environment or we will find ourselves doomed to live in a world of very real darkness. Living as closely as possible in accord with nature (we-wei), taking her as a guide and friend allows for a more tranquil and serene life. In Taoist and Zen thought contemplation of nature’s ways is a channel to the rainbow-hued dew drops and vapors of the inner self.

In western society, yin and yang has been understood in an earthly as opposed to a heavenly way, i.e. yin and yang foods, female passivity and male activity. However, this concept goes far back into antiquity and relates to a broader insight into the processes of nature. Yang pertains to cosmic and yin to earth. Dragon veins or invisible lines provide a way for them to co-mingle at certain places on the earth, and are reflected in Chinese landscape paintings. The lines are shown as sweeping curves originating at the contours of clouds, then by the ripples of mountains and hills, and finally by the wanderings of rivers or some other landscape feature. Into these veins pours down yang ch’i (cosmic energy) to mingle with yin ch’i (earth energy) which then permeates all creation. These veins can be related to the modern conception of an electro-magnetic field which channels electrons down to terra firma.

It is in the understanding of nature’s ways which can aid us in the realization that life is constantly in transition and demands a creative response. Swimming across the currents of life and running here and there is a denial of the natural peacefulness within. You cannot see your reflection in running water. It is by stillness, not by strife, that the void within and without is recognized.

TAOISM
By Ed Kaler © 1987

A brief synopsis to help with a basic understanding for those who are interested in Taoism.

* Definition of Taoism: The whole universe - living creatures, Gods & Goddesses, women & men, spirits, even the inanimate fields, rocks, hills, and streams - are all a part of an ever-changing process at the heart of which lays some principle of unity so hidden and mysterious that its secrets could not be penetrated by human reason or intellect. To seek and find that mysterious principle, to discover it within one's own inmost being, to observe its workings in the great outside, and to become utterly engulfed in its serenity and quietude came to be the supreme goal of the Taoist mystics. Apprehending it to be indescribable, not easily perceived or grasped by the mind, and nameless, they gave it the name of Tao (the Way, the Void). The "Way" to gaining oneness & insight - to become absorbed through contemplation of the wonders of the natural world, and in quietude (through meditation or the void) to come to a vision of the essence of "being" and introspection to uncover roots of our nature. There is an emphasis on spontaneity, on process & interrelatedness & unity of everything.

* Tao-Te-Ching: Tao (path or way); Te (vital force or energy); Ching ("pure" conversations, discussions, essential teachings without superfluous wording). In other words Tao-Te-Ching means – “Discussions of how to use one's energy to find a path of living wisely.” A series of succient philosophical sayings that were designed to allow people in the 3rd century B.C. China to think of a different way of living life in balance and peace with all the world. It was meant to counteract an increasing totalitarian Monarchy.

The Tao-Te-Ching was written by an unknown compiler who ascribed it to Lao-tzu which literally translated means old philosophers. This unknown compiler turned to the teachings of Taoist philosophers and mystics in order to bring together the essential teachings of Taoism.

* Wu-Wei: Literally means non-activity; non-doing; non-striving.  Leaving well enough alone, so as to let nature take its course. No action out of harmony with Nature's laws. No calculated, profit-seeking activity. Achieve without striving. It is by stillness, never by strife, that attainment is won. Letting things happen is the action in non-action. Wu-Wei does not imply inaction or mere idling. Non-action doesn't mean not doing anything, but instead not doing what is futile. We are to cease striving for the unreal things which blind us to our true self.

Various philosophers such as Chuang-tzu, Lieh-tzu, and others have further interpreted the Taoist teachings. Chuang-tzu believed that wisdom lay in seeking for it in the inmost of one's own mind, in a quietude beyond conceptual thought or reasoning. In what he called 'a fast of the mind' it is possible to reach through to an ecstatic union, and allow Tao to exert unimpeded action within one's own nature. Happiness and the good life are not found by conscious striving, but by resting the mind in the Void of Wu-Wei.

* Yin-Yang: The black teardrop shape (Yang) symbolizes the state of things prior to the birth of the universe with the white dot in the center of the black as the creative activities of nature during the first half of the year; whereas the White teardrop shape (Yin) symbolizes the state of things subsequent to the Universe's birth with the black dot in the center of the white as the dying which takes place in the second half of the year.

A Taoist saying which helps to understand the Yin-Yang is as follows - "Life and death are one, since there is no death, only changes in life."

* Essential differences between Confucianism and Taoism: Confucians were mainly concerned with the establishment of an "acceptable" political and social system. Political, family, and social responsibilities were the way to develop one's personality with an artificial structure of rituals, & duties. Much of Confucian (Western) society follows a human way laid down with meticulous detail instead of recognizing that all life is in a state of transition and demands a creative response.

Taoists sought individual realization and fulfillment, a deeper insight into the mysteries of nature, and union with a cosmic principle which they believed to underlie all existence. Taoists attune themselves to the changing rhythms of life & realize that all human experiences are fleeting and temporary and we would do better to be involved with the way (Tao) of our own natures.

* Original Nature: Living to one's true or original nature is loving and learning in an open & creative environment. Where one can be free to act in accordance with the prompting of the heart, unfettered by laws or the usage’s of society.

Another Taoist saying which may help to understand original nature is -
" You cannot see your reflection in running water, only still water."

        COLORS!

Based upon a Native American Legend
                Author Unknown

Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel:
all claimed that they were the best, the most important,
the most useful, the favorite.

GREEN said: "Clearly I am the most important.
I am the sign of life and of hope.
I was chosen for grass, trees, leaves -
without me, all animals would die.
Look over the countryside
and you will see that I am in the majority."

BLUE interrupted: "You only think about the earth,
but consider the sky and the sea.
It is the water that is the basis of life
and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea.
The sky gives space and peace and serenity.
Without peace, you would all be nothing."

YELLOW chuckled: "You are all so serious.
I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world.
The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, the stars are yellow.
Every time you look at a sunflower,
the whole world starts to smile.
Without me there would be no fun."

ORANGE started next to blow her trumpet:
"I am the color of health and strength.
I may be scarce, but I am precious
for I serve the needs of human life.
I carry the most important vitamins.
Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and pawpaws.
I don't hang around all the time,
but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset,
my beauty is so striking that no one gives another thought to any of you."

RED could stand it no longer.
He shouted out: "I am the ruler of all of you -
I am blood - life's blood!
I am the color of danger and of bravery.
I am willing to fight for a cause.
I bring fire into the blood.
Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon.
I am the color of passion and of love,
the red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy."

PURPLE rose up to his full height.
He was very tall and spoke with great pomp:
"I am the color of royalty and power.
Kings, chiefs, and bishops have always chosen me
for I am the sign of authority and wisdom.
People do not question me - they listen and obey."

Finally, INDIGO spoke,
much more quietly than all the others,
but with just as much determination:
"Think of me. I am the color of silence.
You hardly notice me,
but without me you all become superficial.
I represent thought and reflection,
twilight and deep water.
You need me for balance and contrast,
for prayer and inner peace."

Each convinced of his or her own superiority.
Their quarreling became louder and louder.
Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening -
thunder rolled and boomed.
Rain started to pour down relentlessly.
The colors crouched down in fear,
drawing close to one another for comfort.

In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak:
"You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves,
each trying to dominate the rest.
Don't you know that you were each made for a special purpose,
unique and different?
Join hands with one another and come to me."

Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands.
The rain continued:
"From now on, when it rains,
each of you will stretch across the sky in a great bow of color as a
reminder that you can all live in peace.
The rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow."

And so, whenever a good rain washes the world,
and a  RAINBOW appears in the sky,
let us remember to appreciate one another.

A BOOK REVIEW & SYNTHESIS OF

“THE CELESTINE PROPHECY”
Written by James Redfield © 1993

"The following is presented as a gift to all those who have spiritual inclinations and to compliment the book and the writings of James Redfield."

“This book review and synthesis has mostly been taken word by word from the book, but with a different arrangement then was originally presented so as to present the insights in a more readable and thus understandable presentation. This synthesis was developed as a way to help others better understand the writings of James Redfield, since the insights were mixed throughout the book.”

“The following is a synthesis I have developed of the nine insights from the book "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield. Although this book is a fictional account, the inlaid material of the insights are quite spiritual. Each of us must decide if these insights ring true for us, and if so then to proceed with our own evolution as indicated.”

“According to the story line a Mayan manuscript which dates back to about 2594 B.P. (years before present), predicts a massive transformation in human society starting in the last decades of the twentieth century. It's a spiritual renaissance in consciousness about what our existence means, and this knowledge will alter human culture dramatically.”

“I encourage these insights to be shared between people. Each person, once they hear the message and realize that the insights are real, may pass on the message to everyone who is ready for it. Connecting with energy is something humans have to be open to and talking about and expecting, otherwise the whole human race can go back to pretending that life is about having power over others and exploiting one another and the planet. If we go back to this, then we won't survive. Each of us must do what we can to get this message out.”

“This is a book review and synthesis of the book without any attempt to profit what so ever, and is not copyright protected. Therefore feel free to pass copies of this synthesis to anyone you wish.”
Edward Kaler, 1993

1st Insight --

This insight surfaces unconsciously at first, as a profound sense of restlessness. The insight itself occurs when we become conscious of the seeming coincidences in our lives, and mysterious ways our lives are evolving. When these coincidences or even better stated these concurrences happen more and more frequently, they strike us as beyond what would be expected by pure chance. It feels destined, as though our lives had been guided by some unexplained spiritual force, and that something else is going on beneath everyday life. When we take these concurrences seriously we are then ready to proceed to the next perception.

2nd Insight --

At the close of this century (which is right now) people will begin to identify that human kind has been preoccupied with material survival, with focusing on controlling our situation in the universe for security. This obsessiveness has manifested with an intense preoccupation with economic progress. This preoccupation was a stage in human evolution, but now it's time to wake up from this preoccupation and consider what's behind life on this planet, such as why are we really here? Our awareness of the concurrences represents a kind of awakening from this preoccupation.

3rd Insight --

This is an understanding that the physical world and universe is actually a vast system of pure energy that responds to how we think. We humans will learn to perceive what was formerly an invisible type of energy. This is an energy which radiates outward from all things, including ourselves, and we can project this energy consciously. This is a pure energy that is malleable to human intention and expectation. It can be made to flow out into the world and affect other energy systems. Since people are part of that energy universe, when we have a question, people will show up who have the answer.

This energy first begins with a heightened sensitivity to beauty. When something strikes us as beautiful, it displays more presence and sharpness of shape and vividness of color. It stands out, it shines, it's almost iridescent compared to the dullness of other objects less attractive. The next level of perception is to see an energy field hovering about everything. We can project energy by appreciating the beauty of anything until enough energy comes into us to feel love. At that point we can send energy back.

4th Insight --

This insight builds upon the last with the realization that the universe is composed of one dynamic energy that can sustain and respond to us. People will recognize that they have been disconnected from the larger source of this energy, and that we have cut ourselves off from it and thus feel weak, insecure and lacking. In the face of this deficit, people have sought to increase their personal energy by seeking to psychologically steal it from others--an unconscious competition that underlies all human conflict in the world. When we control another human being we receive their energy. When we compete and argue and harm each other, we fill up at the other's expense and the filling up is what motivates us to continue this process. People do not fully realize what they are doing. They just do what makes them feel the strongest. All we know is that we feel weak and when we control others we feel better. This better feeling is the result of having stolen another person's energy. Most people unconsciously go through their lives in a constant hunt for someone else's energy. Dominating another makes the dominator feel powerful and knowledgeable, but it sucks the vital energy out of those who are being dominated. When someone is dominating psychically, they actually take your mind away so to speak so that one's mental clarity is lost.

Humans have been competing for that energy which flows between people. This is what human conflict has always been about at every level. The reason that any conflict can't be immediately settled is that one side is holding on to an irrational position, for energy purposes. It's the result of feeling insecure and weak and having to steal someone else's energy to feel okay. Humans are stuck in a kind of competition for each other's energy. When we can get others to acquiesce to our view, they identify with us and that pulls their energy into us and we feel stronger. Understanding the 4th insight is a matter of seeing the human world as a vast competition for energy and thus for power. As one example of many - consider someone who pretends to be your friend, then finds something wrong with what your doing. In effect that person undermines your confidence until you begin to identify with him/her. As soon as that happens, that other person has captured some of your energy.

Once people understand their struggle, they will begin to transcend this conflict. They will begin to break free from the competition over mere human energy, and finally will be able to receive their energy from another source.

5th Insight --

The 5th insight reveals that we will not have a shortage of energy when we connect with a higher source. The Universe can provide all we need if we can only open up to it. When we consciously fill up with energy we will experience more concurrences, and these concurrences help us actualize a new level of existence on a permanent basis. Filling up with the higher energy is the key to ending human conflict in the world, because during this experience we are receiving energy from another source--a source we will eventually learn to tap at will.

Your body is vibrating at a certain level. If you let your energy get too low your body suffers. That's the relationship between stress and disease. Love is the way we keep our vibration up, since it keeps us healthy.

You can allow love to enter you, but to do this you must position your mind by remembering what it felt like and try to feel it again. When one appreciates the beauty and uniqueness of things you receive energy. When one gets to a level where love is felt, then you can send the energy back just by willing it to do so. As an example try admiring a tree's shape and presence. Through the beauty that you see allow your appreciation of the tree to grow until you actually feel an emotion of love. Your appreciation of the tree is allowing you to receive energy, which manifests into love when enough energy comes into us. At that point we can send energy back.

The same principle holds true with people. When we focus on another person until we see the "beauty" of that individual and thus feel the presence of her/him, we can then send them energy, lifting them up. Of course, the first step is to keep our own energy high, then we can start the flow of pure universal energy coming into us, through us, and into the other person. The more we appreciate their wholeness, their inner beauty, the more the energy flows into them. This sets up a chain reaction which sends energy back to us from that person. Loving (looking for & appreciating the "beauty" in another) and thus energizing others is the best possible action we can participate in for the evolution of the human race.

Stop as often as necessary to re-connect your energy. Stay full, stay in a state of love. Once you achieve this state of love, nothing nor anyone can pull more energy from you than you can replace. In fact, the energy flowing out of you creates a current that pulls energy into you at the same rate. You can never run out. But you must stay conscious of this process in order for it to work. This is especially important when you interact with people.

6th Insight --

However, we can't stay connected with this energy source until we come to grips with the ways we control other people, because whenever we fall back into this habit of controlling we get disconnected from the source. Nothing can proceed until we really look at ourselves and discover what we are doing to manipulate energy.

We must go back into our past, into our early family life, and see how this habit of controlling was formed. Our family members tried to pull energy out of us as children. That's why we needed to form a control drama in the first place. We had to have a strategy for winning that lost energy back.

People manipulate for energy either aggressively, directly forcing people to pay attention to them; or passively, playing on people's sympathy or curiosity to gain attention. Control dramas are essentially manifested in the following four ways:

1) Intimidator: The intimidator is the one who uses threats, and is the most aggressive drama.

2) Interrogator: An interrogator asks questions and probes into another person's world with the specific purpose of finding something wrong. Once they do, then they criticize this aspect of the other’s life.

3) Aloofness: An aloof person keeps one's distance, is not empathetic and warmhearted, does not show interest, and thus remains reserved and cool.

4) A "poor me" attitude: With a "poor me" person everything they say and do puts you in a place where you have to defend against the idea that you're not doing enough for this person. This behavior instills guilt in the unknowing person.

Once we see our control dramas we are free to become more than the unconscious act we play. With this awareness we can reach for a higher meaning for our lives, a spiritual reason we were born to our particular families. Try to discover what your parent's control dramas taught you, and at the same time what about their lives could have been done better. What you would have changed about your parents is part of what you are
working on for yourself. You were born into your family to take a higher perspective on what they stood for. Your path is about discovering a truth that is a higher synthesis of what these two people believed.

Once we get beyond the energy conflict then we can begin to get clear about who we really are. This truth can energize our lives for it shows us the path we are on.

Spend as much time as necessary going through the process of clearing your past. Once we transcend our own control drama we can comprehend a higher meaning for ourselves, and what all the twists and turns of our lives were preparing us to do. Once we surmount our control issues, we will have a clearer awareness of our spiritual path. Once you learn what your life is about, there is no way to erase the knowledge. If you try to do something else with your life you will always sense that you are missing something.

The words you have habitually willed through your head in an attempt to logically control events stop when you give up your control drama. As you fill up with inner energy, other kinds of thoughts enter your mind from a higher part of yourself. These are your intuitions. They feel different, and just appear in the back of your mind, sometimes in a kind of daydream or mini-vision, and they come to direct you, to guide you.

When interacting with other people remember that each drama needs a matching drama to be fully played out. For instance what an intimidator needs in order to get energy is either a poor me, or another intimidator. This person tries to intimidate you out of your energy. When one intimidates an intimidator violence results. All control dramas are covert strategies to get energy. Covert manipulations for energy can't exist if you bring them into consciousness by pointing them out, since they cease to be concealed. The best truth about what's going on in a conversation always prevails. After that usually the person has to be more real and honest. The key to making this process work is to simultaneously expose the drama, then immediately look beyond the drama at the person in front of you, and send as much energy their way as possible. If the person can feel energy coming in anyway, then it will be easier for them to give up their way of manipulating for it.

7th Insight --

This insight talks about the process of consciously evolving yourself, of staying alert to every concurrence, every answer the universe provides for you. When you have acquired enough energy, you are ready to consciously engage evolution, to start it flowing, to produce the concurrences that will lead you forward. We all have many more thoughts than we realize. To recognize them we must take an observer position. When a thought comes, we must ask why? Why did this particular thought come now? How does it relate to my life questions? Taking this observer position helps us release our need to control everything. Assume that every event has significance and contains a message that somehow pertains to our questions.

Additionally, not only thoughts, but dreams guide us. Stay aware of your dreams, including daydreams. Compare the story of the dream to the story of your life. Dreams often come to tell us something about our lives that we are missing. They show us a scene, a happening, and this is an indication that this event might happen. If we pay attention then we can be ready for this turn in our lives.

Additionally, one of the challenges that we face is to look at the positive aspect of everything, including those events which traditionally seem to be very "bad". Do not concentrate on fear, instead replace the feeling with another image with your power of will. However, on the other hand pay attention to thoughts or dreams that may signify real danger. Become more aware, and find the insights that events bring to us.

The Seventh insight occurs when we can see answers as they arrive. This then heightens everyday experience.

8th Insight --

This insight is about an Interpersonal Ethic, about using energy in a new way when relating to people. How we approach and work with people determines how quickly we evolve, how quickly our life questions are answered. It's about a way of relating to other people, to children and adults. It's about naming control dramas and breaking through them and focusing on other people in a way that sends them energy. This way of consciously relating, in which everyone attempts to bring out the best in others rather than to have power over them, is a posture the entire human race could eventually adopt. Think of how everyone's energy level and pace of evolution would increase at that point.

Knowing how to relate in a new way to others, bringing out in them the very best, is the key to keeping energy flowing into us which then brings people into our lives to answer our questions. We can project positive, life-affirming energy into a plant by focusing on its beauty, and we can do exactly the same thing toward a person. This helps other people build and maintain their energy flow, and helps them see their truth. They can then do the reverse with us, and help us with our increase in energy and access to our truth.

This all starts with children, so that they do not feel the need to adopt control dramas. To learn to evolve they need our energy on a constant basis, unconditionally. Be partners with them, and always include them in conversations. Also, always find a way to tell a child the truth. It can always be expressed at a child's level of understanding, it just takes some thought. Additionally, never take responsibility for more children than you can give attention to. Any one adult can only focus on and give attention to one child at a time. If there are too many children for the number of adults, then the adults become overwhelmed and unable to give enough energy. The children then begin to compete with each other for the adult's time.

The eighth insight also warns against allowing your growth to be stopped by becoming addicted to another person. When love first happens, the two individuals are giving each other energy unconsciously and both people feel buoyant and elated. However, once one expects this love feeling to come from the other person, they cut themselves off from the energy in the universe and begin to rely even more on the energy from each other-only now there doesn't seem to be enough and so they stop giving each other energy and fall back into their dramas in an attempt to control each other and force the other's energy their way. At this point the relationship degenerates into the usual power struggle.

The reason a person can become addicted to someone else is that we've yet to access the pure universal energy ourselves. We can eventually open up to it, but when we first begin to evolve, we need to be careful. The integration process takes some time. If we connect prematurely with a human source for our energy, we block the universal supply. When we allow ourselves to evolve, we automatically begin to receive this pure energy. It comes in naturally from the energy in the universe. But we must be careful, because if another person comes along who offers this energy directly we can cut ourselves off from the true source, and regress.

We are very susceptible to joining our energies with another person, some other circle half complete, and completing the circle in that way. This gives us a burst of euphoria and energy that feels like the wholeness that a full connection with the universe produces. In reality, we have only joined up with another person who is looking for their other half on the outside too. This is the classical co-dependent relationship.

The problem with this completed person, this O, that both people think they have reached, is that it has taken two people to make this one whole person, each one dependent upon the other to supply the other with energy. This one whole person consequently has two heads, or egos. Both people want to run this whole person they have created together and so, both people want to command the other, as if the other were themselves.

It is this same way with all additions--one goes through someone or something else to connect with the universe. The way to deal with this is to get your energy up and then center yourself again in what you are really doing here.

Remember the positive act of giving energy that was talked about in the 5th insight? To carry this further--when another person projects energy into me I feel a greater sense of lightness and clarity as I'm formulating my thoughts to speak. Because this person is giving me more energy than I would have otherwise by myself, I can see what my truth is and more readily give it to this other individual. When I thus speak my truth this other person can receive a better sense of what I'm saying. This leads the person to see my higher self even more fully and so appreciate and focus on it at an even deeper level, which gives me even more energy and greater insight into my truth and the cycle begins over again. Two or more people doing this together can reach incredible highs as they build one another up and have it immediately returned. This connection however is completely different from a co-dependent relationship. A co-dependent relationship begins this way but soon becomes controlling because the addiction cuts them off from their source and the energy runs out. Real projection of energy has no attachment or intention.

Another aspect of energy and relationships is that people are a part of that pure energy universe. The more readily we have energy flowing into us, the more the universe responds by bringing people into our lives. When we have a question about our lives, people show up who have the answer. Everyone who crosses our path has a message for us, otherwise they would have taken another path, or left earlier or later. The hard part is figuring out who to take time to talk with, when talking with everyone we meet is impossible. We need to learn the signs and become observant about who to talk with, then we get the answers we desire as a result. This means connecting with the pure energy, so that our intuition can point the way.

A further aspect of the 8th Insight is learning to interact consciously when in a group. As members of a group talk, only one will have the most powerful idea at any point in time. If they are alert, the others in the group can feel who is about to speak, and then they can consciously focus their energy on this person, helping to bring out her/his idea with the greatest clarity. Then as the conversation proceeds, someone else will have the most powerful idea, then someone else and so forth. If you concentrate on what is being said, you can feel when it is your turn. The idea will come up into your mind. The key to this process is to learn to speak up when it is your moment, and to project energy when it is someone else's time.

Many things can go wrong. Some people get inflated when in a group. They feel the power of an idea and express it, then because that burst of energy feels so good, they keep on talking long after the energy should have shifted to someone else. They try to monopolize the group.

Others are pulled back and even when they feel the power of an idea, they won't risk saying it. When this happens, the group fragments and the members don't get the benefit of all the messages. The same thing happens when some members of the group are not accepted by some of the others. The rejected individuals are prevented from receiving the energy and so the group misses the benefit of their ideas.

How people are excluded is important. When we dislike someone or feel threatened by someone, the natural tendency is to focus on something we dislike about the person, something that irritates us. Unfortunately, when we do this instead of seeing the deeper beauty of the person and giving them energy, we take energy away and actually do them harm. All they know is that they suddenly feel less beautiful and less confident, and it is because we sapped their energy.

That's why this process of positive energy exchange is so important. Humans are aging each other at a tremendous rate out there with their violent competitions.

In a truly functional group, the idea is to do the opposite of this, the idea is for every member's energy and vibration to increase because of the energy sent by all of the others. When this occurs, everyone's individual energy field merges with everyone else's and makes one pool of energy. It is as if the group is just one body, but one with many heads. Sometimes one head speaks for the body, sometimes another talks. But in a group functioning this way, each individual knows when to speak and what to say because s/he truly sees life more clearly.

9th Insight --

This insight talks about matter beginning in a weak form and increasing in complexity, element by element, then species by species, always evolving into a higher state of vibration.

In the early stages of human evolution people conquered others and gained energy, and then other people conquered them. Then various democratic governmental systems evolved, but this didn't end the conflict, instead it only shifted it from the physical to a mental level. There has been a constant power over exercise among people--gaining energy at the expense of others, and losing that same energy to others through control dramas.

The next step is for the human race to achieve conscious evolution. We can increase our energy and experience the concurrences consciously. This carries evolution onward at a faster pace, lifting our energies even higher. As our energy levels increase, the level of vibration in the atoms of our bodies increase. As this happens we are getting lighter so to speak, and more purely spiritual.

The 9th insight says that as humans continue to increase their vibrations, they will at one point become invisible to those who are still vibrating at a lower level. It will appear to the people on this lower level that the others just disappeared, but the "others" themselves will feel as though they are still right here--only they will feel lighter. When humans begin to raise their vibrations to a level where others cannot see them it will signal that the physical world is expanding into the spiritual.

Fear lowers one's vibration, and a completed crossover cannot progress until we abolish fear and are able to maintain a sufficient vibration at all times. But the 9th insight helps us create the confidence and awareness we need to know where we can be headed if we have the desire. All the other insights create a picture of the world as one of incredible beauty and energy, and of ourselves as increasing our connection with and thus seeing this beauty. The more beauty we see, the more we evolve, and the higher we vibrate.

Whenever we doubt our path, or lose sight of the process, we must remember what we are evolving toward, what the process of living is all about. Reaching "Heaven on Earth" is why we are here, and now we know how it can be accomplished. Our sense of purpose can be satisfied by the thrill of our evolution, by slowing down, receiving intuitions, and watching for our path to unwind before us as we make meaningful encounters with one another and the natural world around us.

This insight explains that giving is really a universal principle of support for everyone. When we give, we receive in return because of the way energy interacts in the universe. When we project energy this creates a void which fills up again if we're connected to the pure energy source.

The 9th insight predicts a change in human culture as a result of conscious evolution. It predicts that as humans evolve spiritually we will voluntarily decrease our population to a point sustainable by the Earth, so that we may all live in the most powerful and beautiful places on this Planet. Many more of these areas will exist than today because we will intentionally let forests go uncut so that they can mature and build energy.

Foodstuffs, clothing, and transportation will be at everyone's disposal, and our needs will be met without the exchange of any currency, yet without any overindulgence or laziness. Through our intuitions we will fit more harmoniously with the action of others. The modern work ethic which has been turned into a preoccupation that secularized reality and squeezed pure energy out of the world will be transformed, and there will not be a need for excessive consumption because we will have let go of the need to possess and to control for security. We will be committed to living within the natural energy systems of the planet.

It is important to experience intense introspection and grasp how beautiful and spiritual the natural world really is. To see trees and rivers and mountains as temples of great power to be held in reverence and awe. We must demand an end to any economic activity that threatens this treasure. This will be part of the first great shift which will also manifest as people move from one occupation to another. When people receive clear intuitions of who they really are and what they're supposed to be doing, they very often discover they're in the wrong job and they have to jump to another type of work in order to continue to grow. During this period people will sometimes change careers several times during their lifetimes. We will realize that the truth we have to tell and the things we have to do are too unique to fit within a usual job setting.
